The Doremi V1D is a high quality disk recorder and player designed to record and playback video and audio using hard drives. The V1D can function as an instant replacement for a video tape recorder of any format. It is frame accurate and can be controlled via RS-232 using the familiar Sony 9pin protocol. The V1D records one video channel, up to 8 audio channels and time code (VITC and LTC). The video data is compressed using the Motion-JPEG standard and recorded along with the audio and time code address onto the disk drive.
